Juliet Worayewaa
Social Work Intern
Hello everyone! My name is Juliet Worayewaa. I earned my Bachelor's degree as a Certified Physician Assistant from Garden City University, Ghana, a postgraduate diploma in public health from University of Northampton, UK and currently studying a master’s degree in social work at Minnesota State University, Mankato and will graduate in July 2026. Upon graduation, I plan to pursue my LGSW (Licensed Graduate Social Worker).
Prior to this role as a clinical intern at Journeys, I completed my Generalist Practicum as a case management intern at the Rural Behavioral Health Clinic, MSU. I spent four years working as a Physician Assistant with children and families in both inpatient, outpatient care and at the emergency room back in Ghana. During my time with the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom, I was trained to help vaccinate clients during the COVID-19 pandemic in mental health homes and supported living environments.
I am passionate about supporting and making a difference in the lives of individuals all ages particularly children from birth to 18 and their families, because therapy offers children and young adults a safe space to process complex emotions, improve communication skills and help them develop coping strategies in their development. My goal is to continue developing my skills and enhancing my understanding on child development, trauma, and family systems to find healthy ways to cope with their current conditions and overall well-being.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, family, and close friends. I am also adventurous, love taking pictures, baking, cooking, a bit of social media and making vlogs.”
