Hello everyone! My name is Kurt. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in the Science of Coaching from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I am currently studying for my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and will graduate in May of 2026. Upon graduation I plan to pursue my LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor).

Though my professional counseling experience is only beginning, I have enhanced my therapeutic-related skills over the years through coaching at the high school level and being an advisor for college students. I have developed strong leadership and communication skills via elected positions that include Captain of my high school basketball team and President of my fraternity along with several other leadership positions.

Therapy with me looks different with each client. I do my best to avoid getting "set in my ways", and make a conscious effort to adjust my therapeutic style to match well with the unique client I am seeing. Often my techniques are client-centered and solution-focused.

I am interested in working with a wide variety of clients. In my free time I enjoy reading, exercising, doing things outside, and spending time with family and friends.
